I received a pleasant surprise last week. A fan sent me two files containing pictures of Tracy. One in the form of a perpetual calendar, the other a power point presentation.

Subsequently, I wrote to John, wondering if he would like to share a bit more about his fascination for Tracy Huang's music. Again, I was pleasantly surprised by his prompt reply.

John's favourite English album is Feelings.

His favourite mandarin songs are Qiu Feng & Ku Sha.

Incidentally, he has only one favourite singer. If your guess is Tracy Huang, then you're not far from wrong. Such devotion ... such adoration.

John has been a fan of Tracy since the mid 1970s. He has been following her career since Cloud River was released. What John likes about Tracy is her unique and soothing voice. "I can relax after a day of stress", John said.

Tracy's delivery is emotive and filled with a lot of feelings. There is something in her pronunciation that is exemplary, whether it is an English or a Mandarin number.

John has watched Tracy perform life. Once in 1977 at the World Trade Centre in Singapore. The other time, at Jubilee Hall in Raffles Hotel, Singapore, in 1997.

She is "far more better than any other local and foreign singer". Incidentally, John likes Tracy more than other evergreens like Fong Fei Fei and Teresa Teng.

Long live Tracy. Tracy Forever!!!
